The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare in Kohima conducted an orientation and induction programme for new NPSC medical officers.
DIMAPUR — An orientation and induction programme for newly recruited Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) medical officers was held at the conference hall of the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare (DoH&FW) in Kohima on July 28.
The formal induction session was chaired by Director (Health) Dr. Menguzenuo Margaret Yhome, while Principal Director Dr. Mereninla Senlem explained the aims and objectives of the programme.
According to a DIPR report, Dr. Senlem stated that the initiative is designed to prepare and inform the new recruits about the way forward in the service they will be rendering.
Later in the day, a technical session was conducted covering basic office procedures and conduct. Deputy Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Kegwachu Tep presented on topics including general rules, leave rules and admissibility, Personnel Information Management System, and Annual Personal Appraisal Report file maintenance.

A presentation on basic account matters was also delivered by Senior Accounts Officer Peter Swu, covering topics such as charge reports, payslips, the National Pension System, and increments.
Additionally, presentations from programme officers of the national programmes under the directorate, including the National Health Mission, Nagaland State AIDS Control Society, and National Quality Assurance Standards, were highlighted.
