DIMAPUR — The Western Chakhesang Hoho held a handing-and-taking-over ceremony on Saturday at the Western Chakhesang Hoho building in Chakhesang Colony, Dimapur.
The event marked the transition of leadership from the outgoing team to the new team, according to a press release issued by the hoho.
During the event, outgoing president Kepfhelhou Koza handed over the official resignation letter, completing his tenure, along with all official documents and files. He expressed gratitude to the outgoing office-bearers for their cooperation and selfless service to the community.
Dr. Chisoi Khesoh, the new president, thanked the outgoing team for their work and assured the continuation of community service in the people's interest. He also requested the outgoing office-bearers to continue supporting the new team.
The ceremony also included the nomination and approval of various committees, including advisory board members with Besesayo Kezo as convenor, and Zekotso Mero and Kepfhelhou Kezo as members. Customary mediation board members were Yietshulhi Ngatsi as convenor, with Ariyi Nienu, Sovetso Vero, Virakholie Kapfo, and Nusazo Lohe as members. Zashekhoyi Ringa and Ruyopoyi Nyekha were appointed as representatives to the Chakhesang Public Organisation.
The new office bearers for the tenure 2024-2027 are Dr. Chisoi Khesoh (president), Pretso Therie and Yietshulhi Ngatsi (vice presidents), Keve Nuh (general secretary), Vepozo Dozo (joint secretary), Razuchi Chizo (finance secretary), Mhashekhoyi Nyekha (treasurer), Nukuzo Vero (secretary for publicity and information), Ngalounyi Rume (secretary for social and culture), and Lhikhro Kreo (press secretary).
