New ‘United 16 FC’ to participate in KFL

Dimapur, July 22 (EMN): With an aim to participate in the first ever Kohima Football League (KFL) 2017 organised by Kohima Town Club (KTC) the office bearers of all the youth organisations of 16 ward held a meeting at Lerie Panchayat Hall on May 3, 2017 and decided to form a football club and manage the club collectively. The club was named “United 16 Football Club” with the motto “Believe and Achieve”. The “United” stands for the four united colonies of ward 16 coming together for this cause and “16” stands to represent the “16” in “ward 16”. The United 16 FC is headed by Worhonthung Yanthan as the president and other executives. It has an Advisory board –two members from four colonies of Lerie colony, Lerie Chazü, New Ministers’ Hill and New Reserve. The following were elected to be the coaches for the team: Chon (Coach) and Neizokhrielie Sonchu as assistant coach. Vethita and Rengngam were elected as manager and assistant manager respectively.
