N Rumphio Lotha, along with other staff and officials of PFPSD and GBs’ Union during installation of new transformer at power house in Pungro town on April 1.[/caption] Dimapur, April 5 (EMN): In yet another development, a new 2.5 MVA 33/11KV power transformer was installed successfully in Pungro town on April 1. Speaking at the installation programme, SDO (Elect) Pungro, Er. N Rumphio Lotha, expressed happiness that the residents could now avail uninterrupted power supply in colonies of Pungro town and villages. He appealed the public to co-operate with the department in all activities for smooth delivery of electricity. Lotha further encouraged the gathering to extend their help in future that might arise especially for clearing of trees, branches, bamboos etc. in their respective villages and colonies as well as in regular payment of electricity bill. Also speaking at the programme, president of Public Forum Pungro Sub-Division (PFPSD), S Kiusumew Yimchunger, expressed gratitude to the power department officials, Engineer-in-chief, Chief Engineer (D&R) and EE (E), Kiphire division, for their initiative and the execution of the work. The forum further urged upon the department to provide regular power supply without interruptions and assured the department of their cooperation for any work in the coming days. The programme was attended by representatives from Public Forum Pungro Sub-Division, Yimchunger Tribal Council, GBs’ Unions, chairmen and officials from Yimchungrü Arihako Pungro Town.
