DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police have announced a revised set of traffic regulations that will come into effect from 7 am on November 28, reverting movement to older patterns along some of the city’s busiest stretches.
According to the notification issued by Commissioner of Police Aotula T Imchen, the stretch from Deluxe Point to Holy Cross Police Point—and vice versa—has now been designated as a two-way route under a lane-based system.
The Khermahal–Deluxe Point route has also been opened for two-way movement.
Under the revised rules, vehicles coming from Khermahal or Eros Lane toward Deluxe Point will be allowed to proceed only toward the new flyover and will not be permitted to enter Nyamo Lotha Road.

Similarly, vehicles approaching from MP Road may enter NL Road or the flyover, but entry toward Khermahal will remain restricted.
All other existing traffic regulations will remain unchanged.
The CP cautioned that there will be “zero tolerance” for violations and advised commuters to strictly follow road signage—including ‘No Parking’, ‘No Entry’, parallel or angular parking zones—and all other regulatory instructions.
Public cooperation, the notice stated, is essential to ensure smooth traffic management and maintain a disciplined commuting environment.
The new regulations may be modified further depending on traffic feasibility and ground requirements, it added.
