
Avijit Kro flagginf off the new bus services in Diphu on

- DIPHU — The
Deputy Chairman of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Avijit Kro, on
Friday flagged off bus services (Cruiser) from Umlapher to Guwahati and Diphu
to Guwahati at KAAC workshop, in the presence of KAAC executive member
in-charge of Transport, Bilimohon Khaklary, and secretary in-charge of
Transport, Ibon Teron.
- Notably, Chinthong constituency in West Karbi Anglong shares
an inter-state border with Meghalaya.
- During the function, Kro, who also represents Chinthong
constituency, said that the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council's efforts to
improve transportation services are in line with its mission to empower local
communities and promote socio-economic development in the region.

- “As per the assurance made by Chief Executive Member (CEM)
Tuliram Ronghang of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council during the last election
rally, we are fulfilling the dream of the Chinthong public today by introducing
a cruiser service from Umlapher to Guwahati. Due to the lack of transport, the
public, including students and traders, have faced hardship for many years. As
per the CEM's directive, we have flagged off the bus service from Umlapher to
Guwahati today," he said.
- Meanwhile, executive member in-charge of Transport,
Bilimohon Khaklary, also thanked the KAAC CEM for the bus services from
Umlapher to Guwahati and Diphu to Guwahati.
