NESA plea GOC 3 Corps for Bailey bridge

Anil Chauhan at the latter’s office on August 1.[/caption] Dimapur, August 1 (EMN): A three member delegation from Naga Ex Servicemen Association (NESA) led by its chairman Col S Rengma along with secretary general Capt GK Zhimomi and chairman of Dimapur chapter of NESA Subedar R Lotha called on GOC 3 Corps Lt. Gen. Anil Chauhan, AVSM,SM,VSM at his office on August 1. The delegation submitted a Memorandum to the GOC for constructing temporary Bailey or Pontoon Bridge across 4th Mile River, since thousands of students and daily commuters living on the other side have been badly affected and normal life completely disrupted due to the recent bridge collapse. A press release issued by NESA secretary general Capt GK Zhimomi said the GOC had assured of necessary arrangements for constructing temporary Bailey bridge atleast for light motor vehicles after feasibility report and clearance from concerned authorities. During the hour-long meeting, NESA delegation also apprised the GOC on a host of issues concerning the welfare of Ex Servicemen and their dependents in the State to which the GOC gave a patient hearing and assured positive action wherever possible.
