NEISSR students welcome freshers sportingly

The students of NEISSR are seen vying for the ball during a friendly football match.

Dimapur, Aug. 8 (EMN): The senior students of North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR), Dimapur welcomed the freshers to the institution in a unique way by choosing to play a friendly football match to know each other better.
The Sport’s Committee of the institute organised the one-day friendly sports event with an aim to build a cordial relationship with one another, according to a press release from NEISSR. Football, cricket (only for boys) and volleyball matches were played by both boys and girls during the day.

Fr. John Poji, vice-principal-cum-administrator delivered a speech and declared the game opening at the Government Higher Secondary School ground, Half Nagarjan, Dimapur on August 3.

The event kicked off with a football match between the 1st year and 2nd year girls, which the latter won. The second match was played between the 1st year and the 2nd year boys which was also won by the latter, informed an update from the institute.

The students also played cricket and volleyball.
