DIMAPUR — North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) IQAC organised a Meta Training and Certification programme on November 18 at the Peace Centre in Chümoukedima in collaboration with Impulse NGO Network.
According to a press release, the primary goal of the event was to improve participants’ skills in using social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, and YouTube.
The programme was moderated by James Phanungkiu, and the welcome note was delivered by Fr. Lawrence Khing, vice principal of NEISSR.
Chenithung Humtsoe, the chief functionary and executive director-cum-secretary of Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre, speaking on the occasion, shared insights about his experiences, recounting the journey of starting his own organisation, and encouraged students to participate in various social activities.
Khlurshai Marwein, database management support, emphasised the importance of preventing and protecting against human trafficking during the programme. Marwein also presented a short documentary on the subject, aiming to raise awareness and inspire action.
The programme also explored business management, featuring presentations by Zaben Murry, founder of Zaben Murry Design, and Limhathung B Yanthan. They shared strategies for effectively using social media for business purposes and discussed enhancing organisational functions through online platforms.
The event concluded with a question-and-answer session.
