DIMAPUR — North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) on Friday felicitated Neiketuno Sechü, a student of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at the institute, on her remarkable achievement as Miss Nagaland 2023.
Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, NEISSR principal, Dr. Fr. CP Anto, congratulated Neiketuno for making history at NEISSR. He commended her for embodying a combination of beauty, intellect and God fearing.
He expressed confidence in her potential to become a powerful voice for the youth in Nagaland and wished her success on both the national and international levels.
Narrating her personal journey, Neiketuno shared her struggles with mental health issues and recounted a time when she grappled with difficulties in social interactions and felt like an invisible presence during her school years. Overcoming those challenges, she expressed gratitude for her transformative journey and considered it a blessing that her experiences are now inspiring others.
Addressing those facing depression or mental health challenges, Neiketuno emphasised the universality of such struggles and reassure those individuals saying that they are not alone. She stressed the importance of overcoming mental health issues and finding purpose in life.
Encouraging the audience, she urged everyone to discover their life’s purpose, strive to be the best version of themselves and embrace boldness, wisdom, confidence and pursue their dreams.
Meanwhile, NEISSR family extended their best wishes to Neiketuno and expressed hope for her continued success in all her future endeavors, especially in her advocacy on mental health mission.
