NEISSR conducts orientation on cracking civil service exams

DIMAPUR — North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR), in collaboration with Vedhik IAS Academy, organised an orientation programme for students on ‘You can crack UPSC and NPSC’ exams at NEISSR hall, Chümoukedima, on Monday.

The programme focused on providing guidance to students aspiring to excel in the UPSC and NPSC exams, an update stated.

Aashik Kafoor, a mentor from Vedhik IAS Academy, addressed the students by emphasising the significance of the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) in competitive exams. He shared his life experiences, encouraging students to step out of their comfort zones and contribute to societal transformation by becoming influential leaders.

The mentor also urged students to enhance their logical ability through dedicated and consistent effort. “The practical approach suggested by Kafoor aims to equip students with the skills necessary for success in these challenging examinations,” it stated.

Expressing gratitude to the Nagas for their warmth and welcoming nature, he lauded the friendly atmosphere prevailing among the people.

Earlier, Dr. Rev. Dr. Fr. CP Anto, in his welcome address, provided insights about the institute and highlighted the significance of civil service exams in bringing about positive societal changes.

He also acknowledged Kezevituo Suokhrie, a 4th semester Master of Social Work (MSW) student, for winning a bronze medal in basketball at the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024.

The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session, allowing students to seek clarification and gain additional insights. Vitsala Sangtam, MSW 4th semester, chaired the programme.
