Kohima, Jan. 23(EMN): Neisiekuo Kengurüse of Nerhema village emerged as the champion of the 29th wrestling meet 2020 of the Northern Angami Youth and Sports Association (NAYSA) Group- C held at Chuziema village, Kohima on Thursday.

Kengruruse defeated Vikeduolie Lhousi of Meriema village in the final bout and won the title, while Ruokuovituo Rulho from Nerhema and Kekhriesetuo Pfusenuo from Zhadima bagged the third and fourth position respectively.

The champion Kengruruse walked home with a cash prize of INR 25000, while the runners up Lhousi received INR 15000, followed by third and fourth receiving INR 10,000 and INR 5000 respectively.

In the Under-16 category, Visoneilie Khubve from Zhadima village defeated Kevimhalie Chadi of Nerhema village in the final bout. Neingusalie Soliezuo from Zhadima village stood third and Neiphrezolie Mere of Zhadima in fourth position respectively.

Earlier, special officer to chief minister, Neibalie Rio graced the occasion as special guest and chairman of Chuziema village, Kesoneilie Theunuo as the guest of honour.
