Neiphiu Rio mourns demise of Special Assistant to Nagaland CM

Dimapur, May 20 (EMN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has mourned the demise of Kuovisieo Rio, Special Assistant to CM, at Oking Hospital in Kohima on Friday.

Describing the deceased as an affable, hardworking and sincere person, who was also a brother, a confidant and a loyal supporter, the CM said “his passing away is a personal loss to me and my family and we are at a loss to express our sorrow”.

He stated the deceased was also VDB Secretary of Touphema village and immensely contributed to the service of the people especially those in need, and that the valuable services rendered to him will be remembered.

“I place on record the appreciation of the State Government for the contributions he has made to the Chief Minister’s Office in the service of the State. He was also the general secretary of the NDPP and the contributions and sacrifices he rendered for the party will always remain etched in the records of the party for all times to come,” read the condolence message.

The CM, along with his family, extended deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
