Neiphiu Rio goes into self-quarantine

Nagaland's chief minister Neiphiu Rio on Thursday went into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure on his return to Nagaland from Delhi.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday afternoon, Rio gave updates about his return to Nagaland from Delhi where he declared that he had gone into self-quarantine.

He was in Delhi to meet up with central government leaders.

The chief minister informed that he will continue discharging his duties though and appealed to the citizens of the state to follow the official advisories and guidelines such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and observing strict hygiene.

"As a precautionary measure, I'm on self-quarantine on my return to Nagaland from Delhi. Taking precautions to ensure safety of others & myself. Will continue discharging duties," the chief minister tweeted.
