Children have their meals. A group called the Nehemiah Vision Trust has set up a relief camp in Longwa village of Mon district to provide food and shelter to people including stranded students there during the lockdown.

Dimapur, April 22 (EMN): A group called the Nehemiah Vision Trust (NVT) has set up a relief camp in remote Longwa village in Mon district to provide food, shelter and care to people including stranded students.

The director of Nehemiah Vision Trust Talimeren Longkumer informed about the relief camp in a press release that was received here. It stated that the camp currently provides food, shelter and care to 26 stranded students from eastern Nagaland.

According to the press release, the camp is under the care of six staff members from the Shalom School of Longwa who on their own have been looking after the camp.

However, the organisers expressed concern that the relief camp may have issues providing for those in need if the lockdown continue. Procuring essential commodities is difficult due to the lack of transportation, and given that Longwa is in a remote place, the updates stated.

The press release also stated that till date, no other relief has reached the place from outside the village. The organisers invited other agencies, organisations, and individuals who wish to help to assist the charity work.

Thos who wish to give any kind of help may contact head teacher Wapang Lemtur through the number 8119822805 or 9862779572, the updates stated.

It informed that on April 11, the NVT provided essential food items to some families residing in the Kuda Mill area of Dimapur.
