NEDFi extends loan to 18 entrepreneurs

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 26

As all efforts to avail resources through various means seemingly failed, the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi) has come a succor to 18 young aspiring entrepreneurs who were given loan amounting to Rs 1.4 crore thereby enabling them to pursue their dream profession in business.The prospective entrepreneurs were conferred the ‘Letter of sanction’ at the Business Meet, organized by the Business Facilitation Centre (BFC) of the NEDFI at Hotel Saramati this afternoon.
NEDFi officials namely Debashi Bhattacharya, Dimapur Branch Manager, and Bijan Saha, Manager NEDFi Guwahati, have highlighted on the activities in the Northeast region.
NEDFi officials, while reminding that it is an individual’s right to avail loan, however said it is more important to take loan and put them into a productive service. The officials said every project can result in success to a devout entrepreneur. They have also advised the aspiring entrepreneurs to understand the process require in the implementation of their projects.
During the interaction session, participants have urged the NEDFi authority to extend its area of operation to remote areas particularly to parts of Eastern Nagaland in order to cover more of the upcoming entrepreneurs in the State.
On the occasion, NEDFi beneficiaries namely proprietor of Heritage Publication Dr. Lanusangla Tzudir and proprietor of M/s Cereno Fabritec I Tiaba Pongen have shared their testimonies.
The North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi) is a Public Limited Company registered under the Companies Act 1956. NEDFi provides financial assistance to micro, small, medium and large enterprises for setting up industrial, infrastructure and agri-allied projects in the North Eastern Region of India and also Microfinance through MFI/ NGOs.
Besides financing, the Corporation offers service in consultancy and advisory, BFC, training and skill development, marketing linkage, exposure visits, research and development centre on MAP, entrepreneurship training, nodal agency for central subsidy etc.
