NEDFi enrolls 75 youth for skill development programme

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ltogether 75 candidates have enrolled for the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) sponsored programme of skill development training courses in Electrical (House wiring), Welding Fabrication and Stone Mason for a period of one month which was launched on January 17 at Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, (NTTC), Dimapur.
Speaking on the occasion, General Manager of DIC and chief guest, P Togukha Achumi, has lauded NTTC for taking the lead role in offering vocational skill development courses to the youth particularly the school/ college drop-outs in the State. He urged the trainees to sincerely avail the opportunity and exhorted them to undertake projects which will bear fruits. The chief guest has acknowledged NEDFi’s Company Social Responsibility (CSR) programme extended to the people of the State.Besides others officials, Branch MSMS-DI, Dimapur, Tali Longchar and Deputy Director (I/C) and the Branch Manager from NEDFi Dimapur, Debarshi Bhattacharyya also attended the programmes addressed the occasion. They have impressed upon the gathering on the importance of skill trainings programmes in the present context of the society for livelihood.
Debarshi also gave detail accounts on the objective and activities of the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. under the Ministry for Development of North Eastern Region. Earlier in the programme, the keynote address was delivered by Er. Petehetuo Miasalhou, Assistant General Manager, NTTC, while the vote of thanks was pronounced by Er. Ebipeni Ezung, Manager, NTTC, Dimapur.
It may be noted that the skill development programme was initiated and sponsored by Centre for Practical Livelihood Training (CPLT), a Society of NEDFi, Head Office at Guwahati.
