Nagaland election 2023: NEDF releases party manifesto

Dimapur, Feb. 19 (EMN): The Northeast Democratic Front (NEDF) led by its president Lima Longkumer and executive members released the party’s manifesto on February 18.

The release programme was also attended by party leaders from Assam and Meghalaya, an update stated.

The manifesto is based on the party’s motto ‘Power to the People,’ with emphasis on justice, unity, progress and development.

Highlights of NEDF’s manifesto
  • Sustain the private sector-led economic growth sectors
  • Provide, reactivate, rehabilitate and maintain infrastructure
  • Employ measures to uplift the economy and generate employment
  • Encourage the establishment of small-scale, micro and cottage industries in rural areas
  • Strengthen women societies to make them more effective in the process of ensuring the empowerment of the women
  • Sustainable agriculture especially in the rural areas
