Dimapur, May 3 (EMN): The North East Christian University, Dimapur conducted a workshop on domestic violence on May 3 as part of the Counselling / Psychology course it offers in the undergraduate programme.
The workshop that aimed at spreading awareness on domestic violence was organised under the supervision of Dr. Aien Amer and Ravolu Lohe, informed a statement from the university.
The speakers of the event included Joanne Ong, a social worker from Social Service Sector, Singapore; Wendy Stephen, a trained Family Life Educator, Singapore; and Weri-ii Mero, Centre Administrator of the Sakhi- One Stop Centre, Dimapur, an institute that supports women affected by violence.
