KOHIMA — The National Health Mission Employees Association Nagaland (NEAN) has appealed to the Mission Director (MD) of the National Health Mission (NHM), Nagaland, to immediately release their pending salaries.
In a letter dated July 9, the association, represented by Vice President Aotemsu Ozukum and General Secretary Kewetso Kenye, said that employees across the state have not received their salaries since May 2024.
“Immense hardship is being faced by the employees in the state, districts and blocks including the programme management and service delivery due to non receipt of salary on time,” it said.
The association stated that state’s receipt of the first tranche/ instalment of funds for the fiscal year 2024-25 on June 13, 2024, these funds have yet to be transferred to the State Health Society accounts, despite the 15-day transfer timeline mandated by the government of India.
In this regard, NEAN urged the Mission Director to prioritise and address the issue immediately.
“Any further delay in this matter may compel us to take further stringent measures”, it added.
