NDRF sanitises JLF meeting hall

Neiphiu Rio undergoes thermal screening before the start of JLF meeting at the state banquet hall in Kohima on May 2.

Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): A sub-team of the National Disaster Response Team (NDRF) sanitised the state banquet hall, venue of the Joint Legislators’ Forum (JLF) on Nagaland political issue meeting on May 2.

The sanitisation drive was carried out under the command of sub-inspector KP Singh at the old chief minister’s residence. The team had sanitised the meeting hall and surrounding areas by spraying disinfectant consisting of Sodium Hypochlorite with the help of jet spray machines. The team also undertook thermal screening of all the participants before the meeting, an update from NDRF stated.

It stated that chief minister, NLA speaker, MPs and all legislators from the ruling and opposition parties were present at the meeting.

On May 1, a sub-team of 12th battalion National Disaster Response Team (NDRF) from Doimukh in Arunachal Pradesh also carried out awareness programme on social distancing and sensitisation drive on Covid-19 at Jail Colony, Kohima.
Sub-inspectors KP Singh and WL Odyuo along with youth of Jail Colony and NDRF personnel have briefed on the advantage of social distancing to people at the market area and labourers at working sites. The team also made aware to stop the spread of corona virus infection, team leader KP Singh stated.

Singh also stated that NDRF is always ready to serve the nation till such time the pandemic is eradicated from the country.

He added that the rescuers of 12th battalion NDRF sprayed disinfectant mixing with sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and water by jet spray machine.
