DIMAPUR — The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Central Youth Organisation (CYO) has lodged a complaint with the state party president against Enoch S Wotsa, vice president of the party’s Dimapur region youth organisation, over alleged involvement in illegal activities.
Wotsa, who also serves as a Nagaland government’s nominee to the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), was reportedly apprehended by Khatkati Police in Assam in the early hours of Wednesday. He was allegedly transporting a large quantity of alcohol in a government-registered vehicle and two private vehicles bearing Dimapur registration plates.

In a letter to the party president, the NDPP CYO president stated that Wotsa—son of MLA Dr. Sukhato A Sema—had brought immense disrepute to the party through his direct involvement in illegal activities.
The complaint accused Wotsa of smuggling alcohol, an act that violates both the law and the NDPP’s core values.
It stated that the incident has damaged the party’s credibility and tarnished the image of its youth wing.
The NDPP CYO president urged the party leadership to take swift disciplinary action to restore public confidence and reinforce its commitment to justice and accountability.
