Dimapur, Nov. 3 (EMN): Wokha region of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) held a coordination meeting-cum-felicitation programme in honour of Mhonbemo Humtsoe, former candidate of 38 Wokha AC, and Myingthungo Muzhui, former candidate of 40 Bhandari AC, who have joined the party on November 1 at its office in Wokha town.
During the programme, both the former candidates along with their supporters have reaffirmed to support and strengthen the party under the leadership of the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, and the party president, Chingwang Konyak, an update from NDPP Wokha region stated on Sunday.
Speakers including NDPP vice president and convenor in-charge of Wokha region Theyilikielie Tachu, NDPP treasurer Dr. John Murry, and vice president Tokheli Kikon have urged the party workers to continue their assigned responsibilities with diligence and work harder on the special enrolment drive. They have also appreciated the party workers for the overall improvement in the party activities.
Meanwhile, the NDPP Wokha region has conveyed satisfaction to the central leadership for having confident on the party workers. They have assured to continue working for the party with more zeal. The Wokha region also acknowledged Theyilikielie Tachu for his financial assistance towards all assembly constituencies under Wokha district for the special enrolment drive.
