WOKHA — The Wokha region of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) held a Mother’s Day celebration at its office building on Saturday, which was attended by district NDPP officials.
According to a press release, the women members of the party were presented with gifts by President John Ezung during the event. Additionally, Advisor K Thungchibemo Murry of the NDPP Wokha region delivered a message highlighting the significance of God-fearing women in gracefully leading their families and offering love and blessings.
Murry also encouraged the women to continue fostering their families by shaping them with God’s fear and love, thus setting an example for the community and society. He urged the fathers who attended the programme to respect and love their wives, stating that a woman plays an important role in the family and the upbringing of their children.
Lily Kikon, President of the NDPP Women Organisation Wokha, and Grace Murry, General Secretary of the NDPP Central Women Organisation, delivered short speeches during the programme, thanking the NDPP Wokha region for organising the event.
