Dimapur, Aug. 23 (EMN): Two NDPP leaders from Tuensang district have refuted rumours of deserting the party to join another under the leadership of former candidate H Zungkum Chang.

N Nabam and Mosha Yanu, the vice president and the secretary of NDPP 54 Tuensang Sadar-II, issued a joint statement on Friday declaring their dedication and commitment to strengthen NDPP under the dynamic leadership of the party’s president Chingwang Konyak and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.

“In this regard, we would like to make our stand very clear that we are not part of such internal preparation that is actually going on.

“Therefore, through this statement, we denounce such misleading report created and being spread by opponent group to tarnish the good image of NDPP 54 A/C Tuensang Sadar-II under the presidentship of Y Wongto Chang,” the statement read.
