
DIMAPUR — Tobu region of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) under Mon district has resolved to persistently support the party under the leadership of the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, and the party president, Chingwang Konyak.
The resolution to this effect was taken during a prayer-cum-coordination meeting of the party in Monyakshu village on May 26. An update from the region stated that several hundreds of NDPP leaders led by former MLA, N Bongkhao Konyak, and all the party office bearers and members from different villages and town attended the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, the region president, Nyakho Konyak encouraged the party workers from different NDPP organisations and all the electorates to remain united and cooperate with the party under the leadership of the chief minister and the state party president even in the days to come.

Informing that the party has a total of more than 10000 voters under Tobu constituency, he expressed hope that the same number would remain united.
Former MLA of 55 Tobu AC, Bongkhao Konyak also encouraged the party workers and electorates in the constituency to remain strong and devoted towards the party and strengthens the party even in the days to come.
The party workers have congratulated the chief minister for winning in the recently held general election and expressed hope that he would continue as the undisputed chief minister of the state.
The meeting was chaired by Peyau Konyak, president of NDPP Monyakshu village unit, while the prayer was said by the pastor MVBC. It concluded with a benediction said by the deacon board member of Monyakshu Village Baptist Church.
