NDPP team undertakes tour to Tuensang region

[caption id="attachment_282825" align="alignnone" width="565"] NDPP team with the deputy commissioner, Tuensang, Mohammed Ali Shihad during a meeting at the latter’s office chamber in Tuensang town.[/caption] Dimapur, Nov. 15 (EMN): The central executive board (CEB) members of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and officials of NDPP Tuensang region paid a cordial visit to the United Sangtam Baptist Lithro Association (USBLA) at Yangli on November 11 and held an interaction with the mission officials on the principles and ideologies of NDPP. The interaction was conducted in the presence of the youth secretary Tsilise, Christian education and literature secretary Surotsala, cashier Lipong, mission secretary M Sangyu, finance secretary Selila, and women secretary Aprei. The NDPP central team was led by its general secretary TL Merry and accompanied by the president of Tuensang region L Tochi Chang and his team. NDPP team maintained that the party stands for peace, unity and brotherhood and would oppose all forms of violence, discrimination and oppression with the objective to strive for peace, universal brotherhood and promote a sense of unity and oneness in society for the good and progress of all regardless of race, creed, gender, age, disability and religion. NDPP central team along with the Tuensang region are on a special tour programme to visit all the assembly constituencies in Tuensang region. The team acknowledged the officials of USBLA Yangli for their warm response. “This is the first time ever that a political party visited the mission centre, held interaction and seeking God’s blessings. This is history,” president of Tuensang region L Tochi Chang has quoted the USBLA women secretary Aprei as stated. The team also visited 52 Longkhim-Chare assembly constituency and had a detail discussion on the ongoing special enrolment drive. Except for 57 Thonokbyu AC, the team visited all other assembly constituencies in Tuensnag region and conducted meetings with the party members. The team also called on the deputy commissioner, Tuensang, and discussed on the need for improvement of Tuensang town in particular and the district in general.
