Dimapur, May 15 (EMN): Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) of 59 Sitimi-Seyochung AC has resolved to remain loyal to the party under the leadership of the Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio; party president, Chingwang Konyak; secretary general and advisor to CM, Abu Metha’ and party secretary and CEB in-charge of Kiphire region, T Kirithong Sangtam.
The resolution to this effect was taken during an installation programme of new officer bearers held on May 14 in the residence of T Kirithong in Kiphire town.
Delivering the welcome address, Atsoba Anar, NDPP general secretary of Kiphire region, congratulated the new team of office bearers and also lauded the party men and women for their unflinching support to the party. He also acknowledged the former NPF and BJP party workers who boldly came forward and joined NDPP to strengthen the party.
The installation of new office bearers was administered by T Kirithong Sangtam. With the merger of 21 NPF MLAs to NDPP, he was hopeful that the party would come to power in the 2023 general election. He also mentioned that many people from different political parties would soon join the NDPP 59 Sitimi-Seyochung AC.
Short speeches were delivered by Sethrongkyu, president of NDPP 59 Sitimi-Seyochung AC; Torila, president of women organization; and Tokuho Yeptho, joint secretary of NDPP Nagaland.
Following the programme, the party organised an enrollment drive for new members.
