MOKOKCHUNG — The door-to-door registration for Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) undertaken by 24 Angetyongpang Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) AC, which began on November 28, 2022, has reached 2406.

At Chakpa and Salulemang 162 beneficiaries were registered (Salulemang 98 and at Chakpa 64) on August 10. It was initiated and implemented by the 24 NDPP Angetyongpang AC with the sponsorship of Tongpang Ozukum, advisor of Water Resources.

The NDPP Angetyongpang AC has appreciated Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, for launching the scheme for the welfare of the people. The organisation has looked forward to more cooperation for the development and uplift of society.

S Meren Jamir, Salulemang chairman, and Imkonglemba, Chakpa chairman, have acknowledged Tongpang Ozukum for his tireless efforts and for encouraging the people to get access to such schemes which would benefit everyone. They also urged all their village people to avail the scheme and get the benefits of medical treatment.

There are 12 units under 24 Angetyongpang AC where 20 operators from every unit were trained and deployed as operators for proper implementation of the registration drive.

They informed that a total of 2406 beneficiaries have been registered since November 28, 2023.

The 24 NDPP Angetyongpang AC also thanked Tongpang Ozukum for sponsoring in reaching out to the people. Meanwhile, it urged upon the public of 24 Angetyongpang AC to come forward and register to avail the benefits of the scheme.

CMHIS is a public health insurance scheme by the government of Nagaland to provide free health insurance cover upto INR 5 lakh per family per year.
