Dimapur, Oct. 27 (EMN): Informing that election would be conducted one day either with or without political solution, president of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Chingwang Konyak, has asked the party men to be prepared for elections that might come sooner or later.

Konyak stated this during the inauguration of NDPP Phek region new office building in Phek town on October 27. He encouraged the party leaders and workers in all the five assembly constituencies under NDPP Phek region to have better coordination and understanding to strengthen the party as a whole.

He also stressed on the commitment on pre-poll alliance between the NDPP and BJP saying the seat sharing formula in 2018 general election was on experimental basis, which turned out to be a huge success, stated an update from NDPP media and communication committee.

The party’s office inauguration coincided with the president’s tour of the state. The president’s entourage comprised of members of the central executive board, central youth and women organizations along with MLAs Yitachu and Dr. Chotisuh Sazo and former Rajya Sabha MP, KG Kenye and others.

The inaugural programme was led by Kupota Khesoh, former candidate of NDPP, while an  “Act of Blessing” was pronounced by Ngutsolo Therie, associate pastor of Phek Town Baptist Church.

After the inaugural function, the party held a formal programme with the party workers led by Dr. K Hoshi, NDPP general secretary (central). Mosonyi Domeh, president of NDPP Phek region, delivered the welcome address, wherein he welcomed the new leaders and members from other political parties who have joined the party.

The party’s central leaders including its working presidents, Nuzota Swuro and Benjamin Lorin, president of women organisation, Vikali A Zhimomi, and president of youth organisation, Imchatoba Imchen, delivered short speeches.

A folk tune was presented by Juve Juyi Kro.

The meeting concluded with a benediction pronounced by Wangtai Konyak, pastor of Konyak Baptist Fellowship, Phek town.
