NDPP lauds Nagaland’s success in hosting Hornbill Festival

DIMAPUR — The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has congratulated the government of Nagaland and the people of Nagaland for successfully hosting and organising the 24th edition of the Hornbill Festival.

The party, in a press release, claimed that the success of the latest edition “speaks volumes of how the Festival has impacted people nationally and internationally,” while highlighting the turnout of tourists, high profile guests including diplomats from the United States of America, Columbia, Germany and South Korea.

“The huge attraction the Festival has garnered, and the success of the Festival is because of the dedicated efforts of the entire State led by the dynamic Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio,” it said.

The NDPP also noted the many business and round table meets on investment which, according to the party, have given a huge opportunity for entrepreneurs of the State to interact and share experiences with investors from across the globe. At the same time, it has given them an opportunity to explore the possibilities for future collaborations and investments, which will be a mega boost for the economy of the state and employment generation, the NDPP said.

The party also put on record its appreciation to all the various tribes and their respective cultural troupes, for their active and positive participation throughout the festival.

“The Hornbill Festival would never have achieved its recognition and glamour without the colourful, vibrant and beautiful showcase of our heritage which is our rich culture and tradition that has been so successfully portrayed and exhibited by all the tribes of the State,” it said.

Additionally, the NDPP rank and file extended Christmas greetings with the message of “peace, joy, love and goodwill towards all.”
