NDPP holds service in memory of K Kruse

Kohima, June 5 (EMN): A memorial service of late Kevisekho Kruse was observed at North Town Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima, at the school conference hall, organised by NDPP 8th Western Angami A/C on June 4.

Kruse, the retired chief engineer of PHED passed away on June 4 last year during the pandemic situation. Kruse contested in the elections from 8th Western Angami assembly constituency in 2018 as NDPP candidate. He was also the proprietor of North Town Higher Secondary School.

The school, for the first time distributed Kevisekho Kruse Memorial Award, to meritorious students of both HSLC and HSSLC with cash and citation.

Addressing the memorial service, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, wife of Kevisekho Kruse, acknowledged the gathering and well wishers. Kruse also spoke on women’s lives, ‘as they take the importance role within the family circle and in public with the blessings from husband, relatives and citizens.’

Observing the one year death anniversary of her husband, she urged everyone to support and pray for a better society in the higher future.

A book in memory of Kevisekho Kruse entitled “A tribute to my dad” written by his elder daughter Zaserieno (Gracy) Kruse Khamo was also released.

Earlier, students of the school observed moment of silence and laid down wreaths on Kevisekho Badze as a tribute to the departed soul.
