Dimapur, July 5 (EMN): The executive members of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC held a coordination meeting in the residence of the advisor of Excise and Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, on July 4 in Sovima village.
Addressing the party officials, Zhaleo affirmed saying "NDPP is people friendly and inclined towards uplift of the common man through infrastructural development" and went on to state that the party will continue to bring positive, action oriented changes, an update from the media secretary of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC stated on Tuesday.
While thanking the people and leaders for their constant support and trust upon him, Zhaleo also urged the gathering to remain committed so that "we harvest bountiful fruits later".
Senior vice president (central NDPP), Charlie Sekhose, also exhorted the gathering to enroll more primary as well as active party members, who could someday become strategic decision makers in the society. He asserted that the party is growing in leaps and bounds. He also informed that Dimapur Region too will conduct a sports week-cum-get-together for the different constituencies sometime later in the year.
Meanwhile, the members during an executive meeting resolved to reorganise and strengthen NDPP at all levels. It also welcomed anyone to the party fold and work to unite people for the welfare of Nagas in general.
The house also deliberated on enrollment and concluded that exclusive effort for enrollment drive should be undertaken without delay, the release added. Further, the house unanimously affirmed utmost support to Zhaleo Rio, the lone NDPP MLA from Dimapur Region, in the forthcoming election and recommitted to support the party under the leadership of the Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, and the party president, Chingwang Konyak.
Earlier, Nungpao invoked God's blessings, while Dosau Kuotsu, president of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC, delivered the introductory remarks. It was followed with report presentations from different organisations of the party.
Khekiho Ayemi chaired the meeting and Yekuto Yepthomi pronounced the benediction.
