Dimapur, May 30 (EMN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his new council of ministers for having taken the oath of office and secrecy on Friday.
The party issued a press release stating that the NDPP joins the nation in celebrating “this huge mandate of the people” as evidenced by the landslide victory in the Lok Sabha elections. “As an alliance partner of the NDA and NEDA, the NDPP-led PDA government in Nagaland is also expectantly looking forward to the world’s largest democracy evolving into a recognised power in the international arena under the dynamic leadership of the prime minister standing on the foundations of a ‘secular, democratic, republic’ that makes this great nation.”
It assured the NDA government of its fullest cooperation in striving towards the common goals of nation building and improving the welfare of the people. “We also assure our all out support to the Centre towards realising genuine peace through a political solution that is honourable and acceptable to the people,” it stated.
