NDPP 60 AC felicitates state secretary

Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) of 60 Pungro-Kiphire assembly constituency organised a felicitation programme in honour of Shellumthong Yimkhiung, who was recently inducted as the state secretary of NDPP central executive board (CEB) in Pungro town on September 11.

The programme began with an invocation prayer said by Tsuyihba, pastor of PTBC, and the welcome address was delivered by V Shillen, NDPP secretary of 60 Pungro-Kiphire AC.

An update from NDPP Kiphire region stated that KD Mukhokmong, president of GBs’ Union Pungro sub-division JB Shahoto, president of NDPP Kiphire region Tsaseto, and president of NDPP women organisation Kiphire region K Lendila Agnes, congratulated Shellumthong Yimkhiung on his new assignment and also urged him to work unceasingly for the people.

In his speech, Shellumthong Yimkhiung lauded Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, and the party president, Chingwang Konyak, for reposing faith on him by appointing him as the NDPP state secretary and co-convener of Kiphire region. While assuring his utmost efforts for the uplift and strengthening of the party, he sought cooperation and support from the public.

Tsukhenthong enthralled the congregation with a song, while Ato, pastor of Penkim Baptist Church, said the benediction and Hemkemong, NDPP vice president of 60 Pungro- Kiphire AC delivered the vote of thanks.
