NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC begins campaign

Dimapur, April 2 (EMN): Nationalist Progressive Democratic Party (NDPP) under 5 Ghaspani AC officials from parent body, women, youth, minority, agri and allied wings and presidents of all the village unit have kicked-off campaign for PDA’s consensus candidate Tokheho Yepthomi on March 29 in the presence of the constituency MLA and NLA speaker in-charge, Zhaleo Rio.

Speaking at the kick-off campaign, Zhaleo Rio had briefed party officials on the achievements of PDA government and the objectives set for the future. Stating that “deeds always define commitment and dedication in politics too,” Rio reiterated that “PDA will leave no stone unturned to usher in holistic development for everyone in all spheres beginning from the grass root level.”

Sharing his stand on Tokheho as the consensus PDA candidate for MP election, he affirmed that Tokheho has everything that is required from a dynamic leader besides being the most capable and experienced among the candidates in fray.

A press release issued by Thejangukho Yalietsu, media secretary of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC, has quoted Rio cautioning the party workers to remain vigilant against rumours, false propaganda and fear psychosis that are routinely created and spread by social media.

Among the many who expressed their views, Charlie Sekhose, NDPP in-charge of Dimapur and Peren districts, lauded the selfless efforts of the party members in all endeavours and advised everyone to remain steadfast while striving to win the ensuing election with a thumping majority.

The programme held at Sovima was chaired by Miathou Krose, senior party leader, while Dosau Kuotsu, president of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC, delivered the presidential address.

Meanwhile, in a separate press release jointly appended by Dosau Kuotsu and Tokihe Zhimomi, president and general secretary of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC, have acknowledged all new party members including the 7 MLAs from Eastern Nagaland, who have pledged to support the PDA candidate in the Lok Sabha polls scheduled on April 11. The release further conveyed its heartfelt gratitude to all of those who have joined hands to support PDA candidate under the visionary leadership of the state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio.
