NCVBDC state team reviews performance in Peren district

DIMAPUR — The National Centre for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) state team visited Peren district on Monday to review the performance of surveillance workers under NCVBDC, Peren.

The team also conducted monitoring and supervision of Jalukie CHC and Heningkunglwa PHC, according to an update from the CMO office, Peren.

Health units were individually assessed to ensure that they were well equipped before the monsoon of any possible outbreaks of vector borne diseases.

Also, the performances of all surveillance workers were individually assessed, along with the overall performance of the district in surveillance during the last four years.

Dr. R Chubala Aier, Additional Director and State Programme Officer (SPO), NCVBDC, urged all the staff to work sincerely and ensure that no area is missed during surveillance.

She stressed the importance of screening high-risk populations, such as mobile groups and road construction workers. Also, the availability of stock at the district store, documentation and reporting formats were all checked and reviewed accordingly.

The visiting team further interacted with the senior medical officer, CHC Jalukie and staff of Heningkunglwa PHC, wherein handholding support was imparted. The visit concluded with a review meeting at District Vector Borne Diseases Control office, Jalukie.

The state officials included Dr. R Chubala Aier and PH consultant Imsubenla. The district team, comprising of DPO CD Dr. Hedungkiebe and district consultant Vimekhrie U Metsieo, assisted the state team during the visit.
