NCSU Phek directs contractors

Dimapur, April 30 (EMN): Phek unit of the Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has directed all concerned contractors undertaking in the construction of two lane roads from Pfutsero to Phek and from O point to Zunheboto under SARDP to strictly follow the specification. The unit press release issued by its president Kuzhosheyi Alex and the general Razou Lohe have specifically issued this directive to successful contractors, who were awarded works from NHIDCL. While discouraging those successful firms desirous of subletting the works, it stated that cases in such event should be brought to its knowledge. It added that those firms would be held accountable in the event of sub-standard works or incomplete works due to resultant subletting. Stating that it would not compromise on workmanship, the unit has affirmed adhering to the prescribed specification. The unit has also discouraged any form of demands from the contractors and appeal to all parties or groups to refrain from any type of demands. In this regard, the unit has sought cooperation from all contractors as well as public/ NGOs/ groups so as to ensure quality workmanship and successful completion of the project.
