For the first time in the history of Nagaland, a team of 5 Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) officers formed a NCS band with Anthony Ngullie on Bass, Andrew Imti as lead guitarist, Tsuthsowe Kupa on drums, and Henok Phom and Kevin K. Zehol on vocals.
The NCS band was launched on July 15 at the private residence of Henok Phom at Kohima.
The Band was launched appreciating the enormous musical gifts and talents of the NCS officers. While the Band is set to become a platform for refreshing the musical gifts / talents among NCS officers through this conglomeration and expects that the NCSA bond will be further strengthened through the band’s formation.
The NCSA has extended gratitude to Khrienuo Metha, NCS, Commissioner & Secretary for her concern and generosity towards NCSA and presently for fending the whole amount for the new drum-set.
The NCS Officers band in the recent past has also shared stage and rocked the Hornbill Rock Concert in the year 2011 after sacrificing their casual leaves for practices as they were all posted out of Kohima.
Music is an international language and knows no boundaries or age and it is hoped that through the NCS both junior and senior NCS officers would jam together and move on towards “Greater Heights”.
