Dimapur, May 13 (EMN): A ten-day combined annual training camp conducted by the 1st Naga Girls battalion of the National Cadet Corps has concluded.
The event began from May 4 and culminated on May 13 with a Guard of Honour, drill parade; mixed martial arts; section battle drill and short-range firing, updates stated on Monday.
The press information bureau (defence wing) issued a press release on Monday informing about the NCC camp.
The parade was preceded by a cultural segment, prize distribution, and a closing address by group commander of the NCC Brigadier SS Dhankhar.
According to the defence press release, the aim of the camp was to impart basic and special training in military subjects in accordance with the NCC syllabus. It aimed to develop the character, leadership qualities, discipline and ideals of selfless service among the youth, the updates explained.
Further, the camp aimed to create a human resource of trained, organised and motivated youths to provide leadership in all walks of life and always be available for service of the nation.
