NCC North East ADG visits Sainik School Punglwa

DIMAPUR — Major General Gagan Deep, Additional Director General (ADG) of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) North East Region, visited Sainik School Punglwa on Saturday accompanied by Brigadier Dipankar Saha, Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters, Kohima, and others.

According to a press release, upon their arrival, they were received by Colonel Arvind Nautiyal, principal of Sainik School Punglwa, and the cadets of the Independent NCC Coy accorded the general a guard of honour.

As a mark of respect, he laid a wreath at the Amar Jawan memorial before providing an orientation about the school and its infrastructure based on the school’s model, emphasising its commitment to developing well-rounded individuals.

The officer was also briefed on the various NCC activities and training programmes that are currently underway, as well as reviewed NCC classroom training on the school campus.

In his address, he also stressed the importance of unity and discipline in order to be successful in life.
