NCC cadets trained on fire fighting

Personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services demonstrate on the use of fire extinguishing during a training programme in Kohima.

Dimapur, Feb. 27 (EMN): A team from Fire and Emergency Services led by SI Inaka and assisted by ASI Hanso along with four jawans from the department imparted theory and practical classes on fire fighting to the NCC cadets who are currently undergoing training at Kohima Government College.

It included types of fire, causes of fire, handling of various fire equipment and prevention of fire accidents. Demonstration on fire fighting was also conducted by fire fighters for the cadets in which an approximate 100 NCC cadets from senior division of 24 Nagaland (I) Coy witnessed the demonstration, an update from NCC stated.

It added that Col. Daniel Lotzem, commanding officer of 24 Nagaland (I) Coy NCC, motivated the cadets to work hard and make full use of the training being imparted during the training. He also emphasised on the importance of fire fighting drills and its practical applications in day today life.

The commanding officer, on behalf of Group Headquarter NCC, Kohima, and 24 Nagaland (I) Coy NCC, Kohima, expressed gratitude to the team from the Fire and Emergency Services from Fire Station Kohima North for sparing their time in conducting fire fighting capsule for the cadets.
