Dimapur, April 3 (EMN): The associate NCC officer (senior wing) and 35 NCC senior wing cadets of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, under 1 Nagaland Girls’ Battalion NCC-Kohima, carried out Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan at Kezo Basa village, adopted village of the college, on April 2.
The associate NCC officer, Capt. Regina Razousinuo, stated that the team spread awareness on waste management and plastic recycling and on cleaning water bodies to the village council officials of the village through talks and also through a rally. Besides, the team also donated 42 dustbins to the village, which were made by the cadets themselves with waste materials like tin, bamboo, wire, cardboard and plastic wastes.
Meanwhile, the village council chairman, Medovi Zhongo, has expressed gratitude to the NCC team for the noble service rendered to the village.
