
DIMAPUR — With the implementation of National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020, the chairperson of Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), Asano Sekhose, informed that the board would introduce several reforms for conduct of examinations.
Among several reforms, Sekhose informed that close circuit TV cameras (CCTV) would be installed in all the examination centres for better coordination and management of examination, an update from ANPSA stated.
She stated this while delivering the keynote address at the 40th annual general body meeting of the All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) held at Platinum Hall of the NBCC in Kohima on May 27 as the guest of honour on the theme “Inspired by possibilities.” She congratulated the private schools on the HSLC and HSSLC results and appreciated ANPSA for being a platform to all the schools for sharing the practices and concerns.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]In her powerpoint presentation, she made comparative assessment of the HSLC and HSSLC results of the last five years between government and private schools in Nagaland. She further urged upon the private schools to put more focus on the classroom learning and to make learning more fruitful.
The special invitee and deputy director of Higher Education, Dr. Medongoi Rhakho, exhorted the members on the need to retain the child’s smile throughout the schooling period.
In the first session, which was moderated by the association’s ex-officio advisor, Bithungo Kikon, the members have discussed on many key issues such as minority status for private schools, RTE, ILP and TBBT programmes which are of great concerns to private schools.

Report also stated that the members have raised some pertinent questions during an interactive session with the guest of honour and the special invitee, which were duly clarified.
It stated that a song was presented by the students of The Vineyard in the second session and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by its vice president, Rev. Fr. Jacob Charalel. It further added that more than 100 members from across the state attended the day-long session.
