NBSE releases booklet ‘Transforming school education through NEP’
DIMAPUR — With the goal to enhance educational quality and foster holistic student development, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has compiled a booklet titled ‘Transforming school education through NEP’ and the soft copy of the booklet is made available on its portal nbsenl.edu.in.
The booklet features some key reforms in the perspective of the national curriculum framework for school education (NCFSE) 2023. A DIPR report stated that the hard copy can be collected anytime from the board’s office.
It mentioned that NCFSE 2023 is a comprehensive framework that covers the aims and curricular areas of education, school stages, learning standards, pedagogy, content, assessment, school subjects/ areas, cross-cutting themes, school culture and processes and creating a supportive ecosystem. For easy reference, it added that some of the key reforms are being discussed in the booklet, which was expected to be implemented in the registered institutions of the board.
All institutions are requested to develop a plan to implement the recommended reforms and take steps to put the plan in action. Institutions are also asked to regularly monitor and evaluate the implementation of those reforms.
It urged all the head of institutions to make every possible efforts to implement the reforms as enshrined in the document and share the best practices with other schools in order to improve the quality of education across the entire state.
In this regard, institutions are asked to document and share the effective and innovative strategies they have developed in implementing those reforms under ‘Best innovative practices.’
The report further stated that the report (along with supporting photographs and short videos) should to be submitted to the board at academicnbse@gmail.com within September 30, 2024.
