NBSE notifies schools

Dimapur, Aug. 29 (EMN): Commemorating the 75th years of India’s Independence, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has directed all the schools, both government and private, to conduct various activities from September to November.

Under Activity ‘A,’ all the schools are directed to organise essay writing, poem writing and drawing competition on the theme “People who gave us the 75th year of India’s Independence” for students from classes 8 to 12 from September 1 to the 25th. Schools are asked to submit one best entry on September 27 and 28.

Under Activity ‘B,’ schools are asked to conduct reading comprehension challenges for students from classes 10 to 12 from October 1 to the 25th.

Schools are asked to conduct writing activities in about 300 words on topics which are related to the Indian freedom struggle. Topics could include the participation of North East India in the Indian freedom movement. Schools are asked to submit one best entry on October 26 and 27.

Under Activity ‘C,’ schools are asked to conduct essay and poem writing, drawing competitions on the vision about India by 2047 for students of class 12 from November 1 to the 25th. Schools are asked to submit one best entry on November 26 and 27.

It informed that a certificate of merit would be given to the best three entries in each activity for every district. After the conduct of the activities, schools are asked to screen the entries submitted by the students and mail only the best one entry in word format to collessay21@gmail.com. Schools are also directed to write the name of the student, class and school clearly.

All the heads of registered institutions are requested to take up the activities with the students from class 8 to 12 as per the category.
