NBSE notifies on national level competitions

Dimapur, August 1 (EMN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed all heads of registered institutions that the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, is organising national level painting, essay writing & quiz competitions for school children to promote awareness on conservation of petroleum products, to carry forward the message of fuel conservation. The competition aim to raise awareness among youth about practical conservation tips for the conservation of petroleum products in industrial, transportation, agriculture and domestic sectors and how to practice such conservation in their daily lives. The incentive awards for the competition have been made very attractive, in the form of cash prizes, laptops, including a study tour to Singapore. In addition, a Certificate of Appreciation will be given to the best two students from each school in each of the categories. For effective communication, students may choose to present their ideas and messages for conserving petroleum products and reducing emissions, in English, Hindi or regional languages. Essay, painting and quiz for selecting school District, State and Zonal teams. Zonal teams shall participate for National finals while individual quiz for achieving bronze, silver or gold level in which any child in the prescribed age group can participate. To achieve the objective in every nook and corner of the country, PCRA developed a Web Portal and a Mobile App for schools and school children to participate in the above competitions. The detailed instructions for conducting the competitions by the schools and online submission for each competition are available on the PCRA’s Web- Portal wvvw.pcracompetitions.org or website www.pcra.org/competitions.html . All heads of registered institutions have been requested to disseminate the information and encourage interested children to participate in the competition.
