The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed that the HSLC Examination 2023 will commence from March 10 to the 22nd, and the HSSLC Examination 2023 from March 9 till the 31st.
In the HSSLC Examination, a total of 16084candidates are enrolled (Arts – 12431, Commerce – 1214 and Science – 2439) and will be appearing from 65 provisional examination centres. Out of 16085 candidates, 7612 are boys and 8473 girls, an update from NBSE stated.
The timing of HSLC examination is from 9 am to 12 noon for 80/70 marks and 2 hours for 50 marks.
The Class XI Promotion Examination 2023 shall be conducted simultaneously with HSSLC in the afternoon from March 9 to the 31st from 1 pm to 4 pm.
In the HSLC Examination, 24361 candidates will be appearing from 96 provisional examination centres. Out of 24360 candidates, 11197 are boys and 13164 girls.
NBSE stated that earlier on February 21, the Board had an online meeting with all the centre superintendents where their duties and responsible were discussed in detail.
They were also briefed to conduct the examination with fairness following the instructions given by the Board.
‘Rules for conduct of HSLC and HSSLC Examinations’ has been made available in the NBSE official website.
Candidates are required to bring their original admit cards to the examination hall/room on all the days of the examination. Candidates are also requested to read the question paper carefully before they start to write the answers. Answers to the questions should be written keeping in mind the marks allotted to it.
Candidates have also been advised to take note of permitted items and barred items.
Permitted items
(a) Admit card, school identity card
(b) Stationery item i.e. transparent pouch, geometry/pencil box, blue/royal blue ball point/gel pen, scale, writing board, eraser, analogue watch and transparent water bottles.
(c) Bus card
Barred items
(a) Any stationery item – such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, calculator, pen drives, electronics pen/scanner, etc.
(b) Any communication device – such as mobile phone, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, camera, etc.
(c) Items like wallet, goggles, handbags, pouches, etc.
(d) Any eatable item opened or packed, except for diabetic candidates.
(e) Any other item which could be used for unfair means.
The Board re-iterated that candidates must shade/darken the roll number on the front page of the OMR of the Answer book correctly/properly.
“Candidates are reminded to maintain discipline and refrain from any kind of mal-practices during examinations. The Board cautioned that anyone resorting to unfair means in the examinations will be dealt as per the rules of the Board,” it stated.
Further, candidates are advised to reach the examination centre in time by moving out from home early.
