DIMAPUR — Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed that the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, New Delhi, has launched Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya, the national digital library for children and adolescent.
The goal of Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya was to provide access to high quality non-academic books across various geographies, languages, genre and educational levels.
It informed that the application is available on Android and iOS platforms and serves as a digital toolkit for students, librarians and teachers. It offers thousands of general reading materials such as age-appropriate stories, biographies, classics, science fiction, novels etc.

It also included features such as digital reading clubs and interactive sessions to easily monitor students’ progress. It added that all the contents are available to users free of charge.
In order to unlock the creativity of the youth through penmanship, it stated that the ministry would be conducting an Amrit Kaal story-writing competition for students from classes IX to XII with an aim to provide an opportunity for the students to craft stories that reflect hope, innovation and transformation for India.
The contest would be opened from October 5 to the 12th. The registration would be done through the app from 30.09.2024 to 4.10.2024.
In this regard, all the head of institutions have been requested to disseminate the information to the students and encourage them to participate.
