NBSE announces International Cyber Olympiad 2024

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified all the registered head of institutions that the International Cyber Olympiad (ICO) will organise the “International Cyber Olympiad 2024” for students from classes 1 to 10.

According to NBSE, ICO is a prestigious competition that tests students’ knowledge and skills in computer science and to spreads awareness about the safe use of the internet and cyber security. It is a great opportunity for students to showcase their talent, compete with their peers on a global level and receive recognition for their achievements.

It stated that the Cyber Olympiad is based on the national curriculum framework for school education developed by NCERT. It informed that all the questions given in the question paper would be of multiple choice questions (MCQ).

The exams for Round-I (school level for classes 1-10) would be conducted in August, September, October and November. The last date to register will be 15 days before the exam date, while the date and examination centres for Round-II (international level only for classes 3-10) would be notified at appropriate time.

It informed that mock test would be held in the month of July. To participate in the mock test, students are asked to register before June 30. It added that details of the students participating in the ICO 2024 must reach the headquarters of the Cyber Olympiad Foundation through email: info@cyberolympiad.org or WhatsApp +919911554575 or speed post 15 days before the date of examination.

All head of institutions are requested to share the information with the students and encourage them to participate in the International Cyber Olympiad 2024 competition.

In another statement, NBSE notified all the registered head of institutions that the National Board for Quality Promotion (NBQP), Quality Council of India (QCI) under Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, has announced the second edition of the ‘Quality Summer Funcamp’ through an online platform.

It stated that the theme of the camp “Safety stars: Shining bright with quality” aims to impart awareness about the significance of quality in an engaging manner.

The camp has commenced on April 15 and would conclude on June 30.

Participation in the Quality Summer Funcamp is open to all students from KG to 12th standard. The Funcamp offers opportunity to students to showcase their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through activities such as drawing, essay writing/ article writing, online quality quiz, short video-making competitions.
